AIRTEL Mobile Help Needed.?

Airtel Told me that in RS. 450 /m i ll get unlimited internet connection. But they told me that i ll need an Airtel mobile. I can't understand that whether Airtel makes mobiles also or only card. Can I get a mobile as well as Airtel number from Airtel itself or i ll have to buy mobile from other company n airtel number from aritel.


They also told me that me that its not broadband, its dial up. What's the difference between them n how much sped ll i get.?

When they said 'Airtel Mobile', it means an Airtel mobile phone connection. Currently, Airtel is not offering any plans that give a free mobile, so you need to buy a phone and then get a SIM card from Airtel. (But, you check once with Airtel that they are not giving any mobile phone with their plans !!).





If it is a broadband, you can use it for 24 hours just like your Cable connection to TV. If it is a dial-up, you need to dial ISP's phone number. the catch is while Internet may be free, but as long as you are on Internet, you will be paying for the phone bill !!!





If you surf Internet for 2 hours, you bill be billed for 120 minutes of phone usage. Be cautious before going for a connection and find out all the prices.
Reply:first buy a NOKIA2610 mobile or NOKIA6080 mobile from any shop of u r choice then buy airtel simcard then activate MOBILE OFFICE in your phone then surf this site www.geocities.com/mfogamez/index.wml u can browse but it slow not the fastest.
Reply:Don't go for it.It is so slow that you can finish all your daily chores by the time a page opens in it. Ask them to show a demo about the speed.
Reply:Airtel sells both sim and mobile handsets. It depends on u that you purchase airtel handset with sim or sim alone. There is "Mobile Office" in airtel the monthly charge is Rs. 449.00+taxes per month. The speed of dialup is less than broadband.

Airtel doesnt give you mobile. you have to buy it from any outside shop.

Reply:This means that you require an airtel connection(with mobile of ur own choice), and then use it as a dial-up-device to get connected. It is just they will activate GPRS on that number. Dial-up-Connections are slower than broadbands. For faster connection you can have Airtel Broadband connection that comes with a landline phone!!, or any other cable connection.
