What rights does a mobile home owner have when the mobile home park is shutting down?

We have lived on the same lot for twenty-eight years, we have been told that the park is shutting down, but they will not tell us when. A lot of people have already moved, but we are on fixed income and it is expensive to move. Does the mobile home park owners have to help us, or the company that buy it. Can we get help from anyone? There are several mobile homes in here that can not be moved becasue of age and add ons, most of us are on fixed incomes. What can we do if anything?

If there is something in a specific purchaase agreement when you bought the home, you might have some rights.

Otherwise, you need to have an atty review your lease agreement.

If you are renting a mobile home, and the park is going out of business, there isn't going to be much you can do period.
Reply:depends on the state.

mass. has a law prohibiting moving seniors from a mobile home park without their full consent.
