Hi,
Ok, so here is my problem,my friend is only on aim when she is on her cell, and one day I wanted to talk to her online, so I clicked on a mobile attachment and it asked me to give my cell #,later I got a text that gave my confirmation #, so I wnet back to the attachment and typed it it. Now whenever I am on it says I am mobile! I dont want to be mobile anymore, so how do I GET IT OFF!, SO THAT i AM NEVER MOBILE ANYMORE,for FOREVER!
Thanks so much if you can help!!!
AIM mobile?
I had this problem before. What you do is sign on AIM. Go to edit on the top of your Buddy List and then setting (Pressing F7 takes you there too). When you are in settings, the tabs to the left should have one that says mobile. Go there and uncheck "turn IM forwarding on". What that should do is whenever you get offline, instead of having a mobile icon next to your screen name on other people's Buddy Lists, it should simply be offline and they can't send anything to your phone. Hope this helps.

Why would anyone go with T-Mobile?
I actually signed up with them and have to say that they really suck. At first I thought that there prices are a little cheaper than everyone elses. But then again, you don't have any free T-Mobile to T-Mobile calling, so your minutes go away much quicker than on other networks.
Then I switched to the my Faves plan and it's the biggest rip off also. What's the point of having a favorite person from another network? It goes on there minutes, so they wouldn't want to talk to you forever.
Third thing is the awful reception that beats almost any carrier out there.
Fourth thing is the fact that in the beginning I believed that T-Mobile would get cool phones in such as the Nokia N96, the N82 or the Sony Ericsson P1i, W890i, W960i or the K850i. But even though these are GSM phones T-Mobile never bothered to pick them up. Instead they offer you the nastiest Nokia phones they could find. And for a bad phones as the Sidekick they have the nerve to charge you $300 with a contract.
Why would anyone go with T-Mobile?
i am happy with t mobile yeah they have some cons but i can get by them.
you should look for coverage in your area from all carriers and see which one gives you better coverage.

The only person I know who has T-Mobile is Vin Diesel.
Verizon or even AT%26amp;T is waaaaay better.

Design classes for a mobile phone co. There may be 'n' number of classes and each mobile may be different.
Each mobile has a feature that is different from the other model. (i.e there may not be a way to group any two mobile models together).
Would prefer a solution with respect to C#

Im buying a T-Mobile shadow can someone help me?
If i get the shadow at a store its going to cost me $349.99 right? but if i order it online its going to cost me $199.99 with a mail-in rebate of $50. Also, i want to be included in a family plan of about $69.99 + $19.99 (unli.txt), my friend is going to add a line for me onto his account. The thing is that we dont know how to change his individual plan to a family plan and get my phone at the same time online so i can get the discount. Do you suggest that we call t-mobile instead? ....
o and i read that if i get the shadow i would also have to get a windows mobile plan for $9.99...is that really required or not?

Conversation on mobile phone as an evidence of proff in money recovery lawsuit?
Due to some urgent need ,I had got my cash converted in to cheque by some one.Due to nonawreness i did not take any proff for the cash amount i paid to that person. Now the same person has put a false recovery suit on me in Delhi court saying that he has given me a loan of that amoutn and is using mobile conversation as an evidence of proff. He was also my old insurance broker and there might have been some mobile conversation in such a way that may be used as a conversation representing certain amount due to me.and me mentioning thati will pay them as soon as possible. Can Delhi court take decision based on that and ask me to pay the amount?

If so how %26amp;why ? I might or some of my friends might have attend my phone calls and use to talk interestingly as a wrong call ! what will be the result. Mobile Phone Memory Card ???
After finally being able to connect my mobile with PC %26amp; having 2-3 songs downloaded onto my mobile, I guess I could sooner or later do with a memory card of around 1GB.
For that, I wonder what sort of card should I be looking for since I can't see that in any of the information I've had with my mobile.
Would ANY memory card (SD card, compack flash card, smartmedia, etc.) be accepted for LG U8380 ??? How much would that be around. I'll mainly be saving song alone, at this stage though.
Mobile Phone Memory Card ???
i think it supports MicroSD transflash but i'm not sure

Mobile Terminology - need help?
Hi,
am thinking of buying a new mobile and have come across terms which i may understand in a generic sense but have not been able to gauge their use vis-a-vis mobile phone. To be more clear , what can a user do with mobile phone having the following features:
WIFI
WLAN
UMTS
EDGE
GPRS
HSDPA
A2DP
tried googling them; explanations seem to be more technical in nature (need some one to plain speak.)
Appreciate any assistance provided.
Mobile Terminology - need help?
wifi is a high speed wireless internet connection. if a phone has wifi, you can connect to a wifi network (unless at no charge) and go online to internet at very fast speeds (like cable internet). usually you dont have to pay extra for that. (at least on my blackberry i dont).
WLAN. wireless local area network. i dont see how this relates to phones unless u buying an internet card for your laptop. but its pretty much like wifi network but "local".
UMTS.EDGE.GPRS are all types of internet connections UMTS being the fastest and GPRS being the slowest . GPRS can only handle "basic" text-only websites where UMTS can handle streaming video etc. A2DP is for stereo bluetooth where you can listen to music on your bluetooth headset. you will need a bluetooth headset thats "A2DP compatabile" . hope this helps
Reply:WIFI allows you to connect wirelessly to an internet connection i.e. your wireless router. Think WLAN is same, not sure. UMTS is 3G for video calling and faster data transfers (good for downloading MP3 and video files). EDGE is faster than GPRS but slower than UMTS. HSDPA is faster than UMTS (I think) and A2DP is used in Bluetooth which allows for stereo music playback on stereo Bluetooth headsets (the older Bluetooth chips only support mono sound).

T-mobile plans?
Im looking to get a new phone and plan from t-mobile since im really sick of at%26amp;t. I was looking at the "WING" phone and want to get internet, email, and messaging with it but when i go to extra plans (data plans etc etc) there are two options: t-mobile web for 6 bucks a month and t-mobile internet for 30 bucks a month. Do i get the actual internet for only 6 bucks with the web plan or is it just simple things like stocks and stuff that come with it?
These are the plans: http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/addons/serv...

The 5.99 option is T-Zones access only, not the full web browser. The 29.99 web option is a full web brower, as well as HOTSPOT... but the phone has built in WIFI so its not needed to take either so long as your at an unsecured wi-fi location.
Good Luck!

T-mobile to T-mobile free?
I have the $69.99 family plan. If i call another T-mobile customer does my minutes use up or are t-mobile to t-mobile calls free?
T-mobile to T-mobile free?
Well i've had 1000min w/ free nights %26amp; weekends, and My Faves600 (both 49.99) at first with the 1000min plan i paid for free mobile to mobile and then after realizing that i really didn't need it. i removed it from my plan but on my bill incoming and outgoing calls to t-mobile phone were free without me paying and that was almost 2yrs ago. (its still free) but maybe its just a mistake on their behalf.
Reply:i think yours stay free while the other party gets charged.
Reply:It cost, if you have that person on your 5 faves plan then the answer is no. It's not automatically free t-mobile to t-mobile without paying extra.

Sprint, or T-Mobile?
I'd like to know what service do you think is best. And which one should I go for. These are my opinions:
Verizon Wireless doesnt offer anything special so I dont want to hear about them.
Cingulars only good offer is rollover minutes, which I dont need so I dont want to hear about them.
BEST: T-Mobile. Offers 150 more minutes than the other carriers for the same price of $39.99 BEST DEAL is the my faves plan unlimited calling to any 5 people even landlines for $39.99! with unlimited nights and weekends too!
2nd Best: Sprint: Offers unlimited nights and weekends starting 2 hours EARLIER at 7pm on all plans!
I am looking for an individual plan. Unlimited nights and weekends. I dont need unlimited mobile to mobile.
T-Mobile service or Sprint service? T-Mobile phones or Sprint phones?
Sprint, or T-Mobile?
I'm not sure where your are located, but if it's available in your area, might I suggest US Cellular?
I've had US Cellular for about a year now. They have the best plans for the least amount of money. Free incoming, and their N%26amp;W start at 7PM. I share my minutes, and we both talk as much as we want, and can never manage to get any where close to going over our minutes. Their customer service is great also. I'm very happy with US Cellular.
On the down side, if you are looking to download ringtones, download music or other files or get on the internet, US Cellular is not your best option. They have there own internet service called Easy Edge. This is the only place you can purchase downloads. Also, they are usually the last to get the newest phones.
Of Sprint and T-Mobile, I'd have to choose T-Mobile.
Reply:I had Sprint. Just be prepared for dropped calls or lost connections sometimes. There are pros and cons to all. The unlimited 2 hours earlier is a nice feature though.
and BTW, Verizon, can u hear my know is a farce, sometimes I can't hear them.
Oh yeah, SPRINT CUSTOMER SERVICE

Reply:I know you said you don't want to hear about Verizon, but, please read.
As someone who has had a cell phone for 20 years I think I can say that what is todday Verizon, has the best coverage in the US.
The coverage from all the other companies pails in comparison. I have traveled all over the US and Canada and I've been out in the middle of nowhere and always had signal to make or recieve calls with Verizon. Everybody I speak with has had problems with other carriers. I'm not saying that Verizon does not have any dead zones, but from my experience there aren't that many.
Personally I don't think T-Mobile will be around much longer, I think one of the big 3 will aquire them.
If you do go with Sprint find out about dual phones that work on the Sprint %26amp; nextel networks so you get better coverage.
Good Luck.
Reply:ive had sprint for 5 years now, since no one has metioned this i'll let u know...its nor really the carrier but the cell u chose!!! if u get a cheap phone with no antenna u will get dropped calls, sprint does have good online customer service, but if ur one dat just wants everything done then dnt dhose sprint, i mean know what u wanna ask and they will answer back. there plans are good for the quality...

Which mobile phone is now the best phone to play music and video files that we play in our computer?
Is there any mobile phone which supports softwares that run in windowsOS.If there is any ,then we could be freely running video and audio files of any format(extension)in that device. What about the Microsoft windows mobile?have anyone used it?Does it give support for running all windows softwares?I use nokia6630(series 60 platform, symbian OS),I installed smartMovie to watch video files in it.But the smart movie converter software cannot convert all type of video files.
SO i cannot watch those files in my mobile.and again I have a software in my pc,but i cannot run it in my mobile though it has a 250MHz microprocessor...Now what's the best solution?

Mobile phone query?
I have a mobile phone on contract with 3 network, I have just got an upgrade and I want to know if I can transfer all the games I have paid for from old mobile to new mobile, I can't do it through blue tooth. Can I somehow copy them to the PC then to my new phone with a USB cable. I have spent a fortune on games and its a waste if I cant do it. Cheers
Mobile phone query?
:s I think they're saved in applications on your cimputer once the phones plugged in. I managed to get some of mine up once I downloaded all my pictures, contacts and calendar dates into my computer.See if you can save them on your phone memory stick then transfer it. Good luck, but it takes a while!
Reply:Hi Linzi. As a long term subscriber to the 3 network, I can categorically say that you cannot copy purchased games from one 3 handset to another. However, you could put a pay as you go sim cards into your original phone and carry on playing your games to your heart's content, without paying for a contract on it.
Reply:I would call your network provider about this, but I think you can switch out the card inside that has all your phone contacts. I believe the card also carries your phone number over to the new phone you put it in. Call them and see if you can get your games on your new phone by switching cards.
Reply:It cannot be done because they are charged and downloaded only to one phone. Sorry but the only way to do it is to purchase them again. A rip off I know.

Mobile phone charger?
Can one mobile phone charger work on other mobile phone(any mobile phone)
Mobile phone charger?
Check out the ratings (output mA and output Volts). If they match and a connection is possible, you can interchange.
These ratings are mentioned in the chargers. You'll get the mobile phone's requirements from its manual or from its original charger or from the net.
You can also make an adapter to use other chargers. (An adapter is a intermediate connection so that the charger plug can be used with the phone socket)
Reply:naw playa you need the exact one that came with your phone
Reply:no they're diffentent example nextel has like three kinds of chargers and att and verizon uuuuhh a lot of chargers
Reply:Not any mobile phone , but some mobile phones can use the same charger. Usually each brand has 2-5 different chargers for all their phone types.
Most likely phones that have the same charger are the same brand

Should I buy a mobile home (canyon coutry, CA)? How quickly do mobile homes depreciate in value?
My husband%26amp; I are considering purchasing a mobile home(2b,2b) in Canyon Country, CA (Santa Clarita area), but I'm still not sure if it's a good idea. I don't want to make a bad financial decision. I currently pay $825.00 a month for rent (Sherman Oaks, 1bed). I work in Canyon Contry which is about 25 miles from Sherman Oaks (4 days/week) . I pays about $200-$300 for gas/ month. The traffic on 405 makes me tried of driving back and forth. I'm thinking is that if I bought a mobile home I could pay about $700 in space rent%26amp;about $450 a month in a mortgate payment. So I would save some money, time and have bigger space(I have 2 dogs),+ in the end I would own something.I have $8000 for down payment. The problem would be if the mobile home depreciated in value faster than the balance of my loan decreased. How many yrs would I have to live in the mobile home to make it worthwhile? Would it be better to buy a newer or older mobile home? Is there anything else I should take into consideration?
Should I buy a mobile home (canyon coutry, CA)? How quickly do mobile homes depreciate in value?
If this was 3 years ago, everybody would have told you to purchase the mobile home, but now, just about every bank out there does not want to lend on mobile homes. If you do find somebody to give you a loan on a mobile home, most likely a year or two from now, they will not be able to. it will be almost impossible to get good financing especially if you don't own the land. maybe you can rent closer to your work, rather than getting a mobile home. Yes, the housing market is on a down trend, the house prices are dropping. one house may drop in value more than another house depending on the location and on the value it was at.

Does Pre paid T-mobile to Contract T-mobile is unlimited?
No if you have a pre pay you pay per minute...pretty expensive. not sure if you have t mobile and his is pre pay if you would have to pay. I know he would. So it wouldn't cost you on your end but it would on his.

Mobile Home Lot Renting?
This can actually be quite lucrative, I used to work in the MH industry in california and know a guy who makes a fortune doing this - he owned hundreds of MHs.
Here's the catch, most MH parks don't allow it, it's considered subletting, and don't think you can get away with it in violation of the rules because eventually it will be discovered and they can force you to evict your tenants and make you continue to pay the rent but not let you have anyone live there.
If you want to look into it, check the rules and regs of the individual parks, also be sure to review the local and state laws relating to MH parks. And learn something about property management, it's not exactly a walk in the park.
Reply:Lot fees vary by park and state, obviously. Ours is about 250/mo. As far as insurance goes, I'm sure it isn't too bad, as long as you're not in a heavy flood/storm area. You'll have to check with an agency for quotes.
If you own the home and rent the lot, you can make some pretty good side cash, I suppose. You'd better know how to fix the place if there are problems, and be sure that your tenants are following park guidelines (if any) to avoid citations. These houses are notoriously easy to work on but commonly use cheaply made materials. Inspect your prospect home very carefully before buying. There are several guides available in the internet.
Other than that, you're in business!
Hope this helps!

Mobile Upgrade Time - Help Appreciated! Vodafone Customer with Sony Ericsson K800i - what could I get? Tips?
Hi there - it's the time of year I hate - my mobile contract is up for renewal!
I am a long term customer at Vodafone and my mobile bills range from £20 to £30 a month. I currently have a K800i and having read through tonnes of information on mobile phones I think I'll stick with Sony Ericsson. I also want to stay with Vodafone as their customer service has always been 100% (don't get me started on O2).
I would really appreciate any advice regarding the highest grade of Sony Ericsson I should be able to get with Vodafone (maybe the K810i) without increasing the cost of my contract.
I get very tongue-tied on the phone and find it hard to be assertive because I don't know what I can realistically expect.
I'd be really grateful if anyone could advise me in any way, especially on the way to word what I want and what I could get. Numbers of texts and price plans confuse me!

My brother was on Orange contract, and when his contract came to an end he switched to O2 and got a Nokia N95 - When he called Orange to cancel, they offered a better deal with the same phone with more minutes and texts. So he took back the O2 phone (within 14 days) and Orange sent a new phone next day delivery just to keep him with their network!!! Try it!!
Reply:Ok, so you don't want to change from your phone provider than that is fine have you thought about going into a vodafone store and asking them for there help? maybe you need to write down on a peace of paper what you want out of a phone, for eg camera 2/3 megapixel bluetooth triband or quadband mp3 player fm radio gps system built into the phone.
This is all the stuff you need to write down on a peace of paper even go and do a search on a website and see what sort of phones are better than the K800i!!!!
To be honest if you wanna have alook at some reviews on phones why don't you try cnet and mobilegazette.com also ask around with your friends and see what they have got and what they think of there phones even ask them if you can play around with their phones, you know all of this helps but at the end of the day your the one who has to pick the phone and if you don't like it then your stuck with it for 12months.
Personally I have the nokia n95 I got that on friday and am still learning about it so far I have got the gps working and that is very cool.
Anyway have alook at those websites I have mentioned and read the reviews on each phone, people have put on them it is worth alook don't you?
Good Luck and put everything down on a peace of paper and go into a vodafone shop and tell them what you want and what you don't want in a phone, if I was you take time and spend 20mins or so in the shop and ask questions about the phones and you makesure you tell them what you want not what they want it is not there phone it is yours.
Reply:Hiya! Strawbs. This is the deal hon! Tongue in cheek! Nah! Nah! Nah! Thats the old you! Gotta be upfront from now on! Afterall, the customer is always right, would you agree with that? So now is the time to plan ahead in detail and write it all down ready! Firstly, they want you to stay with them, pretty obvious i guess! The bottom line is that you dont jump in with your tongue hanging out! Hold back and tell 'em youll think it over! Just wait and see, you will be delighted with the outcome! Good luck! By the way ive got 2 sticky buns in my fridge, got 'em for supper! Toasted of course, with lots of fresh devon dairy butter! Yummy!!

Many drivers use mobile phones, texting, shuffling iPods. How can police detect this through tinted windows?
YOUNG drivers are putting lives at risk by talking on mobile phones, texting, shuffling iPods - even surfing the internet - behind the wheel.
A survey of 2400 Australians by insurance company AAMI found a disturbing number of drivers aged 18 to 24 regularly engaged in this illegal and potentially deadly behaviour.
Three quarters of new motorists admitted to reading or sending a text message while on the road, compared to just one third of drivers aged over 25.
And a quarter of drivers under 24 - already twice as likely to have a fatal accident - admitted being "distracted" by MP3 players, compared to just 7 per cent among drivers aged over 25.
"They're pretty startling statistics," AAMI public affairs manager Geoff Hughes said.
"Clearly, when you're looking at the screen you're not looking at the road.
"And if you're speeding as well, you're more likely to get yourself in a situation you don't want to be in."
Mr Hughes urged parents of young drivers to lead by example - not to rely on the "do as I say, not as I do" approach.
"Parents should take note of their own behaviour," he said.
"If they're driving around with a phone welded to the left ear, they might think about that before they do it.
"Clearly, when they're teaching their kids to drive they need to inculcate that texting while you're driving, shuffling your iPod or surfing the net is not the way to go."
The survey confirmed a recent report in The Daily Telegraph that fines for illegal mobile phone use had tripled in the past five years.
It also suggested young drivers were not being put off by the steep $238 penalty if they are caught.
NSW traffic services commander Chief Superintendent John Hartley said communication-obsessed younger drivers risked losing their licence as well as their lives.
"NSW police have been targeting drivers using hand-held mobile phones, in particular P1 provisional holders, who cannot use any sort of mobile phone in the vehicle," he said.
"Since the law was introduced in June, close to 1000 P1 provisional licence holders have been caught using mobile phones.
"They are at risk of losing their licence with this offence."
Catherine Alston, 22, from Glebe, said she only chatted on the road using hands-free, but said drivers of all ages were guilty of driving and dialling.
"I don't think it's a problem with young people only," she said.
"You see people of all ages doing it. Lots of tradies do it."

old fuzz - the only problem with this mentality is what about the innocent wife and three kids who get creamed by this idiot? We need EXTREME penalties for people who don't want to devote 100% of their attention to the act of driving. I bet if cars were impounded, people would be a lot less inclined to txt while driving.

Mobile phone prefix?
Hi, I'm a computer programmer in Brazil.
I need to make a program to calculate phone bills.
I know every code to dial to any country in the world but I need to know how to differentiate phone calls to fixed phone and to mobile phone. Are there a world prefix to mobile phone? For instance, here in Brazil, every mobile phone start with prefix 9, 8 or 7. Which prefix is used in your country?
Mobile phone prefix?
They do have different prefixes for Mobile numbers, however, there are millions of cell phone users in the US. It would be easier to pick a city and go from there.

On Mobile J2ME application will be activated on this service request.
Mobile application will send response to server
Problem I am facing is

Somewhere I read about “Push registry”, but I heard that i265 does not support the Push registry.
My client is saying that his mobile node will not necessity connected to the Internet ( that is not continuous GPRS connection)

Mobile contract worry :(?
i have a H3G (Three) mobile phone contract directly from Three which is utter rubbish.
Firstly they sold me a Nokia 6230, a phone which requires no introduction. It crashes more than it works. Its got dust clogging up in the screen (which u cant clean) The mobile to pc interface hardly works and the software is absolutely useless.
Now, I am being also charged exhorbitantly for anything i do other than strictly using free minutes. If i wish to cancel the contract, but they tell me i have to pay the remainder of my monthly rentals upto Apr 07 (when my contract expires).
I am sick of this %26amp; I wish to get a good contract.
Is there someway i can get out of this mobile-trap??
(I live in London)
Mobile contract worry :(?
When I worked as a mobile phone salesman, the biggest issue I would encounter is the person stuck in a 'dead-end' deal where they have a significant portion of their contract remaining, and are unhappy with what they are receiving.
You are normally 'locked' into a contract for either 12,18 or 24 months, so it is important to make sure that the deal you sign up for will still benefit you when you are coming towards the end of your contract.
If you are experiencing problems with the handset, bear in mind that you are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, and many of the problems you are describing can be sorted out quite quickly. Mobile phones are essentially small computers, which, like Windows sometimes has updates provided for it. You can receive software flashes/updates under your warranty, so I would advise that you contact an approved service centre. If you go to http://www.apps.nokia.co.uk/clubnokiaser... you can find the nearest one.
In terms of your free minutes issue, I would suggest contacting 3 customer services to see if you can move on to a tariff that suits your needs. Normally you can change the 'package' that you are on however there can be limitations if you wish to reduce your tariff.
If either of the above is not possible, you have a couple of options available. Firstly you could write to the complaints department and explain that you are not happy with the service that you are receiving. In some cases people have been able to come to some sort of compromise. Secondly, some independent mobile retailers may offer to 'buy' you out of your existing contract, and in the process sell you a new phone on a new tariff... However it isn't always easy to find someone that will oblige. Thirdly, you could reduce your existing tariff to the bare minimum and take out a second contract with the deal that will suit your needs. This is what quite a few people do, however it means that you will be paying for two phones for a little while.
In disputes with your mobile service provider, I would always advise that you continue to pay your bills in a timely fashion, don't threaten not to pay, because you will only end up with a bad credit history!!!
When purchasing a mobile phone, it is important to select a phone that has all the functionality that you need. Also when selecting a tariff, don't jump at the offers for cash back, free Xbox, unlimited texts for 3 months etc..etc..etc.. You need to look at the basic offerings for each tariff, and decide if what they give you after all the free stuff has ended will suffice. It is important to not fall for the sales pitch, but to hunt around, check the deals available from all service providers, and to make an informed and sensible decision in your own time!
Also, please remember that if you enter into a contract for a mobile phone, generally you have 14 days to cancel the contract if you are unhappy with what you have signed up for… This is known as a ‘cool-off’ period.
Best of luck!
Reply:With landlines, the only way to break a contract early is to move somewhere with a post code they don't service. So tell them you are emigrating to Australia, that might be your best bet.
But also, a lot of serious hardcore complaining could do it. Write letters, call them constantly, etc.
Reply:Tell them you are getting very poor reception from their service. They are not providing the service for which you are paying for and therefore, you are allowed under the t%26amp;c's to cancel the contract early without being charged any fees or having to pay for the remainder of the contract.
If they as you why it has taken so long for you to tell them this problem, then tell them you have just moved to another area, like Hartfordshire (Hatfield) where reception is very poor.
You can get cheap new phones from here. They are part of the carphonewarehouse group and very cheap.

Reply:Unfortunately they have you over a barrel legally on this one. What they have told you forms part of a standard mobile phone contract. All the companies would tell you the same thing, however you are entitled to a working phone under the manufacturers warranty. You have 3 choices, continue using it until the contract runs out, drop the price plan to the lowest possible charge and stop using it, or sell the phone to try and make some money back to pay the cancellation fee. You're going to have accept this as a lesson learnt.
Reply:AT%26amp;T in the US did me wrong and they wouldn't rectify what they had done...So I contacted corporate and threaten to write all of the senior staff and the board of directors...they cancelled my account and wrote off the rest of my bill.
Reply:first of all 3 doesnt sell the nokia 6230, which means two things, 1st you are duppy and you dont even know what handset you have. 2nd its actually the 6280 nokia that you are talking about.
if you have issues with the handset you can send the phone for repair, either book the repair with customer service directly or visit a 3 store and can send it and you have to collect it from there.
if you reach the point that the phone continues to have issues, not being solved, after sending the phone for repair 3 times its within your rights to request a replacement handset.
as far as the charges that you are talking about, 3 offers about 10 different tarifs with inclusive packages of minutes, texts, videocalling minutes, video messages and certain amounts allowance for downloads. Check online or visit a 3 store to find out what tariffs are there, and also go through your previous bills so get an idea what you are using. if you dont do that then you got only yourself to blame for choosing the wrong tariff in the first place.
also check out from Planet 3 on your handset, under services, under My 3, under My usage your allowances so you will know when to stop, or at least control the usage.
i m guessing that you had a 12 upgrade and you specifically chose to stay on your tariff that only gives you minutes and nothing else. Again, thats you mistake, if you were and still are clueless of your needs then seek advice. otherwise Caviat Emptor! how do i know this? i read you like an open book, you are either on Videotalk 500 or Videotalk 750. these are the only two tariffs that only give you minutes and are old and discontioued. Your idea was cheap cheap cheap, line rental, they gave you a deal that you couldnt refuse like stupid amounts of discount but know you are paying for it, quite literaly.
Final thing. the network has no responsibility over the handset, 3 doesnt make the handsets. your 6280 was made by Nokia but of course i dont hear you say anything about Nokia. The specific handset was probably the worst that Nokia ever made and the issues that you mentioned are common even if you bought the handset with another network provider.
the earliest you can do your upgrade in February 07 if you visit a 3 store.
everyday i deal with people like you, your ignorance is blinding and the first think you do is blame the network for everything and accept no responsibility of your mistakes
Reply:I think three offers one of the best deal in the UK.I am on 3 network myself. When you get your phone from them you can use it for a week and return it if you are not happy.Even after that you are entitled to one year guarantee.Sometime you might have gone for a package where you do not use some of the features. If that's the case be critical about the contract package next time.A friend of mine also seriously hate T mobile for his experience with them.Haven't said all these still look for bargain else where.

Mobile Phones?
I am a bit ancient and new to all this mobile phones business. I signed a 12 month contract about 6 months ago with T mobile. They give me 60 minutes free phoning land lines a month which I can roll over to the following month. Text messaging costs 8p. At present, I am paying £20 month for this service.
Since I am new to this mobile phoning, do you think it is a good deal? If not, can I change to another provider/tariff? Would I need to wait until my 12 month contract is over before making any such decisions?
If I do decide to go with another network or go on another tariff, would I be able to keep the same phone njmber. If I cannot keep the same number then it would cause problems in that I would have to get in touch with all my friends/colleagues/family etc, to give them the new number.
Please advice on the best action to take.
Mobile Phones?
Ok, i'll answer your questions 1 by 1.
1 - Yes, you can cancel your contract but you would have to pay for the rest of it. You said it was a 12 months contract signed 6 months ago and you pay 20/month so to cancel it, it would cost you 120.
2 - This is a very bad deal, extremelly expensive! You could have 2 contracts giving you 500 minutes cross network each totally free.
3 - If you don't want to finish your contract you should change your tariff to flext20. It gives you 170 minutes a month, any time, to any mobile or landline.
4 - Yes, if you decide to change network you can keep your number.

Reply:If you change contract you will have to get another number.
You can just go into the shop and change your tariff at any time though, they usually have figures of how much you text and phone so can pick out the best one for you. Be sure to go and get your upgrade at the end of the 12 months as well.
Reply:When your contract is over you can switch to another dealer if you want and you can take your number with you.
Reply:You are tied into either a 12 month or 18 month contract.
This can be renewed up to 3 months prior to your end date.
You can change your minutes or text any time in your contract with your provider.
If you change your provider after your contract then you will need a PUK code, give this to your new provider and you can keep the same number.
Reply:hi i work for Orange and to be honest your deal is not the best available, i would recommend looking into requesting a PAC code to take your number to another provider, £20. for 60 Min's is not good for your money when Orange can offer alot more on there animal packages. Even if that doesn't appeal there is alot more out there. look at what minutes you are using and also text then look around. You can request disconnection with a pack code about 30 days from your end of contract date. That's what we require on Orange, the PAC code will let you keep your current number on the the new network. A pack code stands for PORTING AUTHORISATION CODE.hope this helps.

AIRTEL Mobile Help Needed.?
Airtel Told me that in RS. 450 /m i ll get unlimited internet connection. But they told me that i ll need an Airtel mobile. I can't understand that whether Airtel makes mobiles also or only card. Can I get a mobile as well as Airtel number from Airtel itself or i ll have to buy mobile from other company n airtel number from aritel.
They also told me that me that its not broadband, its dial up. What's the difference between them n how much sped ll i get.?
AIRTEL Mobile Help Needed.?
When they said 'Airtel Mobile', it means an Airtel mobile phone connection. Currently, Airtel is not offering any plans that give a free mobile, so you need to buy a phone and then get a SIM card from Airtel. (But, you check once with Airtel that they are not giving any mobile phone with their plans !!).
If it is a broadband, you can use it for 24 hours just like your Cable connection to TV. If it is a dial-up, you need to dial ISP's phone number. the catch is while Internet may be free, but as long as you are on Internet, you will be paying for the phone bill !!!
If you surf Internet for 2 hours, you bill be billed for 120 minutes of phone usage. Be cautious before going for a connection and find out all the prices.
Reply:first buy a NOKIA2610 mobile or NOKIA6080 mobile from any shop of u r choice then buy airtel simcard then activate MOBILE OFFICE in your phone then surf this site www.geocities.com/mfogamez/index.wml u can browse but it slow not the fastest.
Reply:Don't go for it.It is so slow that you can finish all your daily chores by the time a page opens in it. Ask them to show a demo about the speed.
Reply:Airtel sells both sim and mobile handsets. It depends on u that you purchase airtel handset with sim or sim alone. There is "Mobile Office" in airtel the monthly charge is Rs. 449.00+taxes per month. The speed of dialup is less than broadband.
Reply:SImple.
Airtel doesnt give you mobile. you have to buy it from any outside shop.
you have to buy a connection ( Sim ) from Airtel
Reply:This means that you require an airtel connection(with mobile of ur own choice), and then use it as a dial-up-device to get connected. It is just they will activate GPRS on that number. Dial-up-Connections are slower than broadbands. For faster connection you can have Airtel Broadband connection that comes with a landline phone!!, or any other cable connection.

Does T-Mobile pay cancellation fees?
My parents have an AT%26amp;T plan for me, my sister, and my cousin. My sister and I want a Sidekick from T-Mobile and we were wondering if T-Mobile will pay the cancellation fee because we need to convince my parents that they SidekickLX. If it helps I live on Long Island.
Does T-Mobile pay cancellation fees?
Unfortunately T-Mobile won't pay the cancellation fee - but that's not a bad idea to get people to switch! I would recommend waiting the contract out to avoid paying the fee. But keep in mind that when switching, there is the cost of the phone (which is usually a good price for new activations) and the activation fees.
Good luck!

Hosting downloadable mobile phone tunes and screensavers?
I want to host downloadable mobile phone tunes %26amp; screensavers at a price on my site. How do I do this? Do I need any special features on my site in order for a mobile phone to connect to it, make payment and then download the tune or screensaver.
Hosting downloadable mobile phone tunes and screensavers?
that is a MASSIVE question and simply not enough room here or time to go through everything, BUT heres a brief overview.
you obvioulsy need to make sure the website you design is WAP compatible for a start.
Then you will need some kind of 'open source' (free) oscommerce software to allow people to buy your products.
read this and its exaplined here ;-
http://news.zdnet.co.uk/internet/0,10000...
its a VERY specialised thing to do and if you have no idea about HTML you'll really stuggle.
email me at darren@digital-canvas.co.uk if you want help as im a web designer.

you obvioulsy need to make sure the website you design is WAP compatible for a start.
Then you will need some kind of 'open source' (free) oscommerce software to allow people to buy your products.
read this and its exaplined here ;-

its a VERY specialised thing to do and if you have no idea about HTML you'll really stuggle.

Free T-Mobile Ringtones?
theres a website (http://real-ringtones.awardspace.com/) But it says you have to payy $9.99 a month to subscribe to it and I really dont want to do that. I am just looking for anyone who has t-mobile that knows where I can get free real music ringtones. I know it sounds selfish but I already have an expensive plan. Has anyone gotten FREE ringtones for their T-Mobile phone???

Amp'd mobile.. do we still owe money??
MY fiance has an amp'd mobile account form over a year ago. They sent us to collections because the bill wasn't paid. Its a long story but they wouldn't give us records of the phone calls so we never paid it. Anyways amp'd mobile went bankrupt last year. Before this happened we got a lawyer to take care of the situation but we don't owe the 3,000 dollars. Now that they are bankrupt and no longer exist, do we still owe the money at all?
Amp'd mobile.. do we still owe money??
When companies go bankrupt, their assets are sold to raise cash to pay creditors. The accounts receivables would be an asset that was sold off to a collection agency. They will come looking for you.
The Statute of Limitations (SOL), the timeframe to bring lawsuit, varies by state but it definitely more than a couple years. This is probably counted as a written contract. Check you state: http://www.fair-debt-collection.com/SOL-...
What exactly did the attorney do? Do you have anything in writing showing that he settled the debt?
Your best bet would be to work out a settlement agreement with the collection agency. They probably don't have complete records and bought the debt pretty cheaply. If they show a $3K debt, you could probably settle for $500 if you pay in one lump sum. Get any settlement agreement in writing and don't give them direct access to your bank account. If this is showing on your credit file, ask for a delete for payment.
Reply:it depends on if the sold the debt
some companies do in order to raise cash
so debt buying companies buy the debt for pennies on the dollar
and then try to collect
but there are SOL and licensing in states for collection issues that usually hamper collection of such debt
but they still try and may re-age the debt to appear fresh
BTW one of the reason amp'd mobile went bankrupt was due to the high rates of young people ( their core target audience ) not paying their bills
Reply:i'm sure somebody bought the company. and whoever did will be contacting you. i owed money to robinson's may. then they got bought out. now i owe macy's money.
and what exactly did the lawyer do? your question is confusing. you could always dispute the account by contacting experian through a letter. there are samples all over the internet. google "credit repair".

Boost GSM mobile signal at home?
I need a way to boost a UK GSM mobile signal for the Orange network.
At home I have reasonable signal in areas of the house, but I would like to have better signal in the house.
This is to facilitate a home automation kit with a mobile card to recieve text message instructions.
TIA
Chris
Boost GSM mobile signal at home?
I have seen devices which you attach to a window and you connect your mobile to in order to get a better signal however I have not seen them for sale any where.
No other way to legally boost a signal from your house however I read an article online about a journalist who managed to build his own booster, not legal and very dangerous.
Alternative to stand on your roof, again dangerous
Try some other service providers sim cards in your home, you may be surprised that some networks are better than others in homes due to the locations of the network masks!

House style mobile phone ?
Looking for a "sim phone" not sure if they are even made. Will try to explain, looking for a regular house type phone which sits in its charger when not in use, but instead of it being a land line, its takes a regular mobile phone sim card.
There are a lot of cheap mobiles out there, though hard to find one which charges up in a cradle rather than a plug in charger.
Also a larger phone with larger buttons would help as "the older generation" will be using it.
Anyone got any suggestions ? thanks very much.

Does virgin mobile use verizon wireless's towers?
I am considering puchaseing the virgin mobile super slice, it says that the phone is CDMA 1900 Mz and verizon uses that same frequency, i know that virgin mobile uses sprint's towers, but wouldn't it use verizon's too? I am wondering because i live in a dead zone for sprint, but i have some coverage, just wondering it would really help!!!!!
Does virgin mobile use verizon wireless's towers?
They use Sprint.
Reply:no it wouldn't work, Verizon and sprint and virgin do use some of the same frequencies but they use different encryption's on them. virgin has a contract with sprint to use there towers so sprint assigns virgins certain encryption's for virgin on there towers. they have no way of knowing what Verizon's encryption's are. The encryption's on the frequencies are for access to their networks and not for the actual audio signal.
Reply:i dont know

Will T-Mobile?
I had my Razr broken into two peices, so I took the SIM card out, and about a week later I put it in another T-Mobile phone, and its not registering, it says "Enter SIM card" when its in the phone. Im thinking it got damaged, while it was out...Would T-Mobile replace the SIM card, or any ideas on how much a new one would be?
Thank y'all
Will T-Mobile?
are you sure its the sim card? it could be the phone you put it into.
Reply:Most likely its the phone thats doing the malfunctions. Just to be sure try another tmobile or an unlocked gsm phone to be sure.
If so somehow it is the sim taht has the problem, it will cost you $20 to get a new sim.
But dont worry il tell you how to get a new 1 for free.
Make sure the sim is in a tmobile phone and then take it to a corporate tmobile store and complain on how the phone kept saying to enter a sim..
Make it seem as if it stopped working on its own and they will replace it for you. Dont worry you wont be scamming they get sim card for free from the company its just sum dealers wana make money in between.
So goodluck hope youre problem gets fixed asap

How to log off mobile AIM?
I'm using a Mac and I've tried using iChat for my AIM account as well as the Mac version of AIM itself. I logged onto AIM once, several weeks ago, using my cell phone. I logged off using my phone, and it said I was successfully logged out. Ever since, iChat and AIM both give me duplicate buddy lists - one "regular" group, and one "mobile" group (all consisting of the same friends). I receive my friends' messages inconsistently but they never receive mine at all. Friends have told me that I appear to log on and off at random, while I appear to be constantly online at my end.
This is not so much a huge dilemma as it is just aggravating. I'm hoping there is a simple solution for how to get rid of the mobile account while on my Mac. My phone insists that I am successfully logged off mobile AIM. If someone has an answer please let me know. Thank you!
How to log off mobile AIM?
SIMPLE SOLUTION: download the laster AIM from aim.com
then install, run, login, the aol message will popup and if you read it correctly (which i didnt at first). it should say something like "reply with a 1" at the end of the message.
AOL system will log out of your mobile aim after you reply to the message with the 1.
Reply:If I'm reading this right if just gives you two sections? Have you tried selecting the Mobile group section, right click and something like delete, remove, or clean?

Which is better? T-Mobile Blackberry Curve? Ir T-MObile Wing?
Because I have the choice of buying either one.
Which should I buy because I really don't want to make the wrong decision.
I am the kind of girl that gets bored with everything very easily. Which phone of the two won't ever get me bored?!
Which is the BETTER phone?!
PLEASE ANSWER.
Thank you for your help.
Which is better? T-Mobile Blackberry Curve? Ir T-MObile Wing?
I recently bought the BlackBerry Curve 8310 on AT%26amp;T,but I have never heard of the T-Mobile Wing.
After being very much bored with my MotoRzr,I decided on the BB.
I've read many reviews on the BB VS. the iPhone and the BB mostly comes out on top.
It all really depends on the features you plan to use and which phone suits your needs.
If you do get bored very easily I suggest you not buy a phone at all.
To entertain you,I think you should buy the iPhone.
Touching the screen may surprise you in many ways.
-All this coming from a 13 year old girl.

Reply:i have the t-mobile wing..

the box, because im planning to sell it..
But i have a phone just like it, which is 8525 [search it]

i downloaded htc cube/touchflow.. and the iFONZ..

YAHOO MOBILE NOT WORKING! Issue started with "(Mail Beta)"?
I asked this in another question, but there seemed to be confusion.
Yahoo MOBILE is not working.
This started when "Mail (Classic)" was taken off of YAHOO MOBILE, and replaced by "Mail (Beta)" on my MOBILE DEVICE.
It shows me my email subject lines, but when I click on them, my messages do not appear at all. Its shows a white screen.
I've refreshed the page on my phone
I've rebooted my phone
I re-signed in
I've tried from different area's
And tried it at different times.
"Mail (Beta)" simply will not allow me to read my emails on my phone.
There is no "Switch Back" option on my MOBILE PHONE.
Anyone else experiencing this?
YAHOO MOBILE NOT WORKING! Issue started with "(Mail Beta)"?
I'm experiencing similar problems in my regular yahoo mail. I click the subject line and then the server times out. I also asked a question. Hopefully they will look into the server issue.
Reply:I've had the same type of confusion... only when I sign in under mobile yahoo, my id isn't accepted. At this time, I can't read my email until I can get back to a pc.
My mobile provider can't help me in this matter. We've rebooted my phone, etc. nothing helps.....
I really need to switch back to mail (classic) where I was able to read my messages and answer them from the phone.
Can anyone help?
Reply:I have experienced the same problem, and am frustrated in that there seems to be no venue to tell yahoo about the problem. My email used to work perfect before, when they had a "classic" option on mail...now, I get only "beta", and cannot get anything but a blank screen when I click on a message. IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT!!!!! Too bad Yahoo hasn't adopted that policy. I will be patient for about 3 more days, then I will be "outta there"!!!

T-Mobile Question??????????????
Ok so I have T-Mobile and my friend has Sprint and Sprint has very bad coverage for where we live, so she is switching to T-Mobile. But she has some questions. Sopose you have never, ever had T-Mobile in your life and you want to get an indivisual plan. Will it cost you money to join T-Mobile? If so how much??? My friend wants to get an indivisual plan and a Sidekick 3, so will she have to pay an activation fee or sumthin?
Thank you!!!1
T-Mobile Question??????????????
i have had t mobile since they started they always have specials with all handsets and new accounts. they have very good plans for all.most of the time it will only cost very little to get started depending on your past history .you can also upgrade anytime.the activation is usually billed the first bill. call 1 800 937 8997 just ask. good luck!
Reply:Since your friend has sprint, she needs to find out if her contract with sprint has ended yet. If she is still in her contract and decides to move to T-Mobile, then she will definitely pay a early termination fee imposed by Sprint which is approximately $175.00.
As far as T-Mobile, if she is a new customer then T-Mobile will run a credit check once she signs up for service. If she has poor credit then she will definitely have to put a deposit down depending on her credit score on top of any new phone purchase for the service. There will be a activation fee on your first bill about $35.00.
Please check T-Mobile website for the individual plans.
http://www.t-mobile.com/
Reply:You can check out a few places. To get the best deal, check acnwireless.com and use 01341654 when ready to move forward. Most companies if you are just starting with them have an activation fee.
Reply:There is a small activation fee (sometimes it depends on the credit) but it is between 34 and 75 dollars. If your friend has NO credit or BAD credit, she may be asked to send a deposit which can be as much as 500 dollars.
Thank you!!!1

Mobile Virus Scan?
I think my mobile has a virus because it is doing alsort of crazy things. I don't have a laptop and i have Norton AntiVirus 2007
My mobile is Nokia 6230i
I am only 10 years old so tell me what to do by step by step.
The person who helps me scan my mobile will win 10 points
Extra: If u want u can email me at brotherbear_9@yahoo.ca
:) Thanks
Mobile Virus Scan?
Nokia 6230i is not a Symbian phone. There are neither viruses, nor anti-virus programs for it. I guarantee you that it doesn't have a virus. Besides, as another poster said, you can't scan it with an anti-virus program that works on the PC anyway.
The best solution is to bring it to a repair shop.
Reply:virus's on phones are rare but they do exist. You should contact you cell phone carrier. They can refer you to their tech support desk (not the general or billing reps) who normally maintain a list of problems that can help you decide what you need to do next.
Reply:You can`t scan your phone with laptop`s norton you have to install antivirus software in your phone like F secure, Symentec and many more available.

T-Mobile V3 Razr to T-Mobile Rizr?
O.k. so i have a t-mobile to-go (prepaid) razr V3 phone, I'm thinking of upgrading to a motorizr and getting a real monthly plan from T-Mobile. Does anybody know a plan that doesnt cost too much?(I dont talk THAT much but i do like to use IM sometimes.) Should I upgrade at all? I want a phone with more features(music/video player) but is the rizr that much better? I have quite a few contacts in the phone book on my razr, is there a way to copy them without re-typing them if i should upgrade? I dont get great service in my house so should i just comepletely switch carrier and phone, but with all the iphone hype i should be able to get a good deal with T-Mobile? I want YOUR opinion!!! (what color do you think is good?)
T-Mobile V3 Razr to T-Mobile Rizr?
Yes, you can copy the contacts over... They will do it for free at the T-Mobile stores...
If reception is a possible issue, get a nokia phone - they are the best for reception - Motorola is good, but Nokia is best.
Go out to www.t-mobile.com and look up the plans. Sometimes there is a plan that is local to you - that might do well for you if you don't make THAT many calls... Some include unlimited texting, so be sure to ask...
Good Luck!@
Reply:T-Mobile has a 300 minute plan for only $29.99. That is the cheapest plan they have and it doesn't have all those other features. Each time you download a new song it's going cost you another $1.99 per song. They do have a 400 message plan that costs you $4.99 a month. And you can get internet access for an additional $5.99 a month. And if you do decide to upgrade your phone all you have to do is transfer all the phone numbers in your phone book to your sim card and transfer that sim card to your new phone.

If you are looking for a map of Munich on your mobile phone, you may want to look at http://www.audiotravel.com/mobile-travel... . There is a downloadable application with the inner city map.

Mobile phone generates maximum signaling pwoer while it initialize call & its harmful to human?
When you try to call someone through mobile phone, don't put your
Mobile Closer to your ears until the recipient answers.
Because directly after dialing, the mobile phone would use it's
Maximum signaling power, which is:2 watts = 33 dbi please be careful .
IS the above scenario true????
Mobile phone generates maximum signaling pwoer while it initialize call %26amp; its harmful to human?
No. It's not true. The phone transmits messages during call set up and also while you are speaking. The same power is used in both cases.
No transmissions occur while you are not talking
