has anyone had problems with t-mobile where they say that there is reception in an area but there isn't?
i took a contract out with t-mobile on friday and now have to cancel it because i have no reception at home, and i need my mobile at home for work purposes. i have tried to cancel my contract but t-mobile are refusing to do this.
don't i have seven days in which i can cancel my contract? apparently i don't need to have a reason as to why i am cancelling my contract, but t-mobile are wanting to know why.
does anyone have any ideas as to what i can do?

Just cancel it. They cannot tell you you have to stay with them and refuse to cancel it. This is America. But you do have to listen to all their bullcrap about them trying to get you to stay. I dont think you had seven days though. You will have to pay the $250 cancellation fee because you signed the contract. Sorry! :(
Reply:tell them you have no reception at home and thats why you need to cancel it. i told this to cingular and they sent me a new phone in a coupla days. tmobile is much better quality than cingular, you should stick with them. once you keep complaining on the phone to them, they will lean towards your way. :]
Reply:you actually have 14 days from the day of activation (30 days in california) to cancel the service without the $200 early termination penalty.
if you have reception problems at home and it is the primary place for use, you may want to look into the Hotspot@Home service. it uses your internet connection and wireless router to connect to the t-mobile network and it works great for me. i also get unlimited calls originating from this connection for a small monthly fee.
Reply:I said 2 excuses 1) the Internet is too slow (T-mobile has the slowest Internet), 2) text messaging is more expensive on the monthly plan than prepaid, so they asked me what I want to do, I said I want to go back to prepaid....(I heard a lot of people having this problem with T-mobile)
